Peer Recovery Coach

The Anchor Recovery Community Center’s Recovery Coach Academy provides training on the skills and competencies needed to become certified* as a Peer Recovery Specialist. Many graduates of the Recovery Coach Academy have gone on to achieve the CPRS status and are among those leading recovery support efforts in the State.
Anchor’s training academy is based on the curriculum from the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR), a neighboring leader in peer recovery training. The CCAR model for peer recovery training is an evidence-based and time-tested model for offering peer support. This model is designed to provide an up-to-date approach to helping those in recovery from addiction.
