As mental health providers, it is important for us to distinguish the diversity within the Latino population as we assess and treat trauma. During this presentation, we will discuss the diversity within the Latino community in Rhode Island and how trauma impacts the Latino community. We will also provide clinicians with specific-trauma informed techniques to utilize when working with this population.Continuing Education Credits:
Social Worker CEUs: This training has been approved by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) for 3.0 continuing education credits.
Chemical Dependency Professionals CEUs: This training has been approved by the RI Certification Board for 3.0 continuing education credits (The RICB is an IC&RC affiliate).
