Training

 

     The Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council of RI (SUMHLC) offers training opportunities on a wide variety of topics for individuals who are either working towards or renewing a mental health, substance abuse, or social work certification or license.  Our classes are also open to those who may be interested in learning more about a particular topic or a career in the behavioral health field. Face-to-face instructor-led trainings are offered throughout the year and are listed below. 

  • THE SPRING 2017 TRAININGS HAVE BEEN EXPANDED TO INCLUDE A NUMBER OF NEW TRAININGS, SUCH AS:   
            
    • several free trainings co-sponsored by DAY ONE;
    • trainings in geographically diverse locations such as Westerly and Woonsocket;
    • a new FACILITATION SKILLS training in June

and a free informational workshop conduct by the RI Certification Board for those working towards or have questions about certification.
