Training and Technical Assistance

Important Update:

All trainings offered through the end of September 2020 will be held through various online platforms such as Zoom.

When attending a training in an online platform please be sure to use your full name as your user name and to have your video enabled. Beginning August 25, 2020, participants will be required to have enabled video in order to receive CEUs for live, online trainings.

Licensing & Certification: If you have any questions regarding an extension deadline for CEU's, please contact your certification or licensing board.

The Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council of RI (SUMHLC) offers training opportunities on a wide variety of topics for individuals who are either working towards or renewing a mental health, substance abuse, social work, or nursing certification or license.

Our classes are also open to those who may be interested in learning more about a particular topic or a career in the behavioral health field. Face-to-face instructor-led trainings are offered at our location throughout the year.   New trainings are added frequently so we encourage you to check back often for newly posted classes, and approved continuing education units.

To assist you in obtaining the educational units you need for your credential, SUMHLC is pleased to also include information on other (non-SUMHLC sponsored) face-to-face trainings, conferences, webinars, and online training resources.

Thank you and feel free to call our office (401)521-5759 if you need assistance.
