All trainings offered through the end of September 2020 will be held through various online platforms such as Zoom.
When attending a training in an online platform please be sure to use your full name as your user name and to have your video enabled.
Beginning August 25, 2020, participants will be required to have enabled video in order to receive CEUs for live, online trainings.
The Zoom details, materials, and pre-test information will be emailed one (1) week prior to the training date.
We know smoking is killing the people we work with, but often we just don't know how to address it. Gain confidence in having the cessation conversation and creating effective referrals to treatment. You will learn how nicotine addiction affects the brain and how you can use evidence-based practice to assist people struggling with tobacco dependence to quit for good.
Continuing Education Credits:
Social Worker CEUs: This training has been approved by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) for 6.0 continuing education credits.
Chemical Dependency Professionals CEUs: This training has been approved by the RI Certification Board for 6.0 continuing education credits (The RICB is an IC&RC affiliate).
Mental Health Counselors CEUs: This training is pending approval by the RI Mental Health Counselors Association for 6.0 continuing education credits.
Please Note: A pre-test is required to be taken before the training. In order to receive a training certificate, each participant must complete a post-test, and training evaluation within ten (10) days of completing the training.
