SAMHSA offers FREE online business courses

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) offers 14 self-paced, online business courses to behavioral health organizations and providers through BHbusiness. These courses are available at no cost. You can learn at your own pace while earning continuing education credits. BHbusiness courses offered include:

Bundled Payments: Demonstrate basic knowledge of terms and concepts related to bundled payment financing models, understand the impact of bundled payments on your clinical and business processes, and more.
Costing Out Your Services: Review basic costing-related Excel skills with simple exercises, evaluate whether you are currently costing out your services correctly, and explore process map costing to assist in budget projects.
Planning for the Next Generation of HIT: Learn how to implement (and finance) the latest in health information technology (HIT). Assess your organization’s readiness to implement the latest HIT, and learn what steps you can take to make HIT adoption happen.
Value-based Purchasing: Explore the expected outcomes, advantages, and challenges of value-based payment models and other strategies.
