NEIAS Summer School

The 48th Annual New England Institute of Addiction Studies "Summer School" event will take place at centrally located Worcester State University, Worcester, MA from June 5 – 8, 2017. Coursework has been designed for new addiction counselors, seasoned counselors, prevention specialists, recovery coaches, recovery organizers, criminal justice professionals, agency administrators, allied social service professionals, and all who encounter substance use disorders in their work.

Over 80 courses are offered at the program on a wide variety of current treatment, recovery, and prevention topics. The following popular 4-day intensive courses will be offered:

•Recovery Coach Academy
•Substance Use Prevention Skills Training
•Compulsive Gambling Training Institute

This year will also feature:

•a 4-Day Operations Management Track, with coursework not previously offered at the Worcester State Venue;
•an Adolescent Track, specifically designed for those working in adolescent treatment;
•a Criminal Justice track;
•several two-day intensive treatment courses;
•many new courses, in addition to courses requested back by popular demand.
