It takes a unique individual to be a firefighter. Most firefighters perform a job everyday that the average person cannot comprehend. This workshop is designed to provide the clinician with an overview of the fire service culture and understand the “rescuer personality” and its effects on the normal coping mechanisms of firefighters. The program will show how firefighters are at a higher risk to develop PTSD due in part to their personalities, the kinds of job responsibilities they are required to complete, as well as those environmental factors that may influence their susceptibility.
*PLEASE NOTE: In order to receive a CEU Certificate, each participant must complete a Pre-Test BEFORE arriving at this training and complete a Post Test and Evaluation within one week after the training. (Instructions will be provided.)
